What's happening
Times Square Lighting's Tudor is a 45W ellipsoidal LED gobo projector at 4800 lumens / 4000K CRI80, running on 120V or 277V with On/Off, 0-10V, Casambi wireless or potentiometer control. An adjustable lens offers 20-40° or 25-50° zoom for on-site image sizing, aimed at safety signage, retail back-of-house and simple logo projection without DMX complexity; BABA-compliant with a 5-year warranty.
Why it matters for buyers
For a retailer, venue or signage buyer, the practical effect is simple: the unit that reads on your wall at your ambient light, with your artwork, beats the one with the bigger number on the box. Specification order — distance, image size, ambient, then brightness — decides the result.
It also changes lead-time risk. Custom gobos and certified outdoor builds need briefing before the date is fixed; the projector is rarely the long pole, the artwork and certification are.
The technical angle
Keystone correction belongs in the mount, not the software. Physically aim the projector square to the surface and you keep brightness even across the image; digital correction dims the corners to fake the geometry.
What to specify
Before you request a quote, lock these down:
- Lead time on a custom gobo versus a stock pattern
- Gobo material: glass for longevity and colour, metal for cheap short runs
- MOQ and dispatch window before the event date
- Throw distance from bracket to surface, measured on site — not estimated
