From File to Gobo
The process is simple: you supply your logo, the maker proofs it, then engraves or prints it onto a gobo. Within days you have a physical template that drops into any compatible projector.
Prepare the Artwork
Good input saves money and time:
- Vector format (SVG, AI, EPS) with text converted to outlines.
- Solid shapes; very thin strokes disappear when projected.
- Transparent background — the gobo shows only your mark.
- Exact brand colour noted if you need colour matching.
Glass vs Metal Gobo
Glass gobos hold fine detail and greys (halftones) for photographic or gradient logos. Metal gobos are tougher and cheaper, ideal for bold single-colour marks in harsh environments.

Proof Before You Commit
Always request a proof image of the engraved gobo at size. A mis-aligned letter or a stroke that dropped out is cheap to fix here and impossible after install.
Sizing and Holder
Gobos come in standard sizes (commonly 37 mm and 53 mm). Match the gobo size to your projector's holder; mixing sizes means a new fixture, not just a new template.
Turnaround and Reorder
Standard turnaround is a few business days; keep the master file so reorders for new locations or seasonal variants are quick and consistent.
